Most often the standard seat included with a wheelchair isn’t providing the proper level of stability,
comfort, and support for your customer.
There are many seat options to choose from, so to help you through
the decisions, we have broken down the process into easy-to-follow steps. Please see the seat and back
order form at the back of this catalog for complete details or call our customer service representatives
for assistance and more information.
Our solid seats are available in either a drop-in or full-width
style with plywood bases, cutouts, T-nuts and a large assortment of foam and upholstery options.
Easy-to-Order Process for Custom Seats gives you the option to choose:
- Type of Seat
- Type of Foam
- Upholstery Color
- Modifications: Growth Notches, Anti-Thrust Foam, Washable Covers and more

| Drop-In Seat |

Enables the seat to drop between the rails of the chair to accommodate foam thickness and maintain proper seat height.
The actual width of a drop-in seat will be 2 3/4" less than the frame width (for example, a drop-in seat
for a 16" wide wheelchair frame will measure 13 1/4" wide). A wide range of hardware can be used to drop
or angle the seat.
- 1/2" plywood base (3/4" for seats over 18" wide)
- 10-32 T-nuts for mounting hardware
- Your choice of foam and upholstery color

| Full-Width Seat |

The actual width of a full-width seat is 1/4" less than the specified frame width (for
example, a full-width seat for a 16" wide wheelchair frame will measure 15 3/4" wide).
The hardware is limited to our Knob-Release hardware or flat hooks with spacers.
The spacers position the bottom of the seat about 5/8" above the seat rails to allow
enough room for the securing hardware.
- Provides broader seating surface, matching the approximate width of the frame
- 1/2" plywood base (3/4" for seats over 18" wide)
- 10-32 T-nuts for mounting hardware
- Your choice of foam and upholstery color
