Our solid backs are drop-in style to fit between the uprights of the chair
frame, unless ordered with a full-width back modification. Backs include
plywood bases, T-nuts and a large assortment of foam and upholstery options.

The actual width of the back is 2 3/4" less than the frame width (for example: a standard
drop-in R-back for a 16" wide wheelchair frame will measure 13 1/4" wide). A wide range
of back hardware can be used to drop and/or angle the back between the uprights or
position the back forward of the uprights.

Added cutout on the middle of each side to allow lateral supports to be mounted closer
in towards the client. Standard cutouts are 1 1/8" wide per side, which means the width
at the middle of the back is 5" less than the frame width (see chart below).

Designed for the top of the back to fit between the uprights of the wheelchair,
while the lower sides of the back are cut down to allow lateral trunk supports, as
well as hip supports, to be mounted closer to the client. Cutouts are 1 1/8" wide
per side (standard); width at the middle of the back is 5" less than the frame width.
* Requires a spreader bar or Quicklink to mount to the wheelchair frame.
